I think you've misunderstood the OP - the reason i say this is because of your negative response.

The chap who started this thread has raised a good point and a good discussion.

I perfectly understood the OP. I just didn't like it ... I hear this type of crap all the time and they don't realise how twattish they sound and frankly it gets on my tits. So I had a go.

As for saying that you "dont know what is good for the planet and all that guff" - that is total nonsense. Of course people know what is good for the planet and what is good for people. You're comment leaves me dumbfounded.

Off the top of my head ...

• How do you solve the problem of poverty?
  
• How would you bring democracy to IRAN?
  
• How would you solve the problem of violent crime in urban areas?
  
• How would you stop china polluting the planet?
  
  

How would you solve them? I dunno the answer. It all very well saying what the end result is but there needs to be a process that happens before hand which seems to be glossed over.
