Haha, see what you mean. Look up FrancisFrancis X5s on ebay, I don't think they raise very much, so work out whether it is realistic to pay someone £100+ and parts costs to fix it. Look at a used Gaggia Classic as a possible replacement, they're a better machine.
To start with though buy some descaling solution or citric acid, look up a how-to and descale your machine. You will most likely find an immediate improvement for around a fiver.
