If we want to avoid the sort of problems that we have had at Mitch, and then Newington last night, then we need to look outside of the deprived areas of Inner London. Mitch is right by one of the worst estates (by reputation) in North London, and Newington is an area which is right down there on most of the key indicators of social and economic deprivation.
