^ Ask owenreed, he's got an Omnium and pretty sure he runs a front brake.

My fork had no drilling at all.
Edwardes of camberwell have a tame engineer who drilled it, complete with wider bore at the rear so modern brakes fit.
They also provided the longer rear nut that I needed for my brake to go on the newly drilled very deep carbon forks.
Pop in and have a chat- they are a good lot in there.

You just need a longer nut. Doesn't really need to be countersunk to take a modern nut, it will just sit fine on the outside.

Thanks for the heads-up. Just phoned Edwardes. Seem a nice bunch. £10 to drill it so will head over next week. Thanks all!
I bought a 'new' 2008 Giant Omnium track frame on Ebay and want to fit a front brake.
Frame like this... http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/giant-tcr-omnium-item113786.html
I've got a new Dia Comp BRS100 front brake but the bolt isn't long enough to go through the fat forks and the allen-key style rear fixing isn't compatible with my fork anyways. It just has a basic hole drilled through, rather than a wider one at the back for the allen key bolt.
So... anyone got any advice on what I do now?
1) Just get a different brake that fits straight it. How do I guarantee the bolt will be long enough as they don't specify in brake info/stats.
2) Drill out the back of the fork. Brrrr! Rather not.
3) Any ideas what will fit, brands / style etc. Looking at about £20 for the brake I guess.
Any help gratefully received!
