Just dropped off my holdsworth at Armourtex. Must have just missed you Zed. It is a pretty beat up frame, originally red with a horrible red overspray.
I told them I wanted a greenish/biege metallic looking colour. Something classic/antique looking but definitely not the original red. I think I ended up on RAL 1035 with metallic laquer.
Does anyone know if the metallic laquer is going to end up looking sparkly when its finished? The guy I spoke with seemed pretty confident I'd get the look I was after, but if metallic laquer = sparkes then I'm not so sure. I was under the impression that the flake finishes were the really glittery ones.
I've searched through the photos, and haven't seen any metallic laquer specific ones (or I've missed them). Anyone got any thoughts on this?
