^ i like the roebucket, too!
went in on my wayyy oops, sorry, there we go again and had a quick chat. they did not only seemed to have missed us yesterday, they actually did say it in my face ... that we have been missed.
... and the bar manager (this would be the girl with the blondish ponytail) expressed her appreciation towards our bubbly and colorful crowd. i explained (tried at least) why and how things go the way they do with our SE(x) Beers venue... and that first of all the food price seems the bugger for most, some however seem to dislike the rather quiet (or did MG used the word flat ;) mood.
however, during the eve yesterday, i started to miss the evenings we had in the RB and found it more important to maybe somewhat 'dominate' a place rather than beeing crouched in and sized up all the time ... though i like the companionship (as usual wooooord SE peeps rule!) i felt a bit out of place there. nothing to worry, just not that of a yeah come here and chill vibe really.
the Rake seems small, dunno how i get that impression ("... the Rake also claims to be the smallest pub in London and, in our experience, that claim seems to have some substance ...")
well and the food thing, i doubt the Rake has a kitchen, besides i rarely saw people eating in the G but i arrived summot late, i admit.
so, ah and before i go back to bed - yes i am selfinflicted ill and i will never stop at the new cross inn again on my way home ... alone at least ... aver! @timmeh: i missed you and could have used your help to get me out there before they threw me out, next time mate, next time - if they let me in again that is, they should have a cage for me, so that the visitors feel saver.
so where was i, ... ah ja
the pavement in front of the R_Buck is almost done and looks like it will be free space soon. it seems civilized compared to the Gee, where they have a poodle working the bar *lol
@Nhatti: so it seems, i now strongly lean towards the Roe as well *high_five
i say fuck ticking boxes and lets start hang out there as the SE beers and random meet and exchange parts meet up. it'll all come together once we build a relationship with that place. and for the doubters, i'll entertain you with nonsense to keep you off thinking about the atmosphere while CJames still has the dress and blond wick joker up his sleeve, i am sure it'll be great. i even buy you a beer if they except my money *prints out Kreutzbergdollars
