Hijacking this thread a bit but no sooner had I thought "I need a road bike to get some long distances under my belt", my company announced it was running a cycle to work scheme.
So, I have up to £1000 to spend at Halfords, Condor or On Your Bike. I will not be going over that amount! Condor seems too pricey for anything decent sub-£1000. I know Hellfrauds can order most stuff in, so was thinking one of the c. £999 options from Felt, Scott, GT etc or the Carrera above (not a fan of the Boardman). Any recommendations? I know this has been asked before in old threads but was hoping there may be some extra knowledge re: the 2010 range etc...
