What has your experience of black spokes been?

What colour was the magnet, mine is silver :(

I took forum advice and tried to colour it in with a marker pen. Now it looks even worse. Then I realised my NERD needs to go back so I have to return the magnet along with everything else.

I had black spokes on the wheels with black rims and black hubs. They were the blackest things out there, blacker than black. But then I put a magnet on one of the spokes and it scratched the paint. Later, sans magnet, I noticed that they were no longer black, they would glint and sparkle occasionally. I had to sell those wheels, I could no longer live with them.
