Amazing day. Thanks loads to all the organisers.
Massive thanks to Prav for the bike load for Josh and the difference it made! Our game against Malice was the most fun of the day for me. Only lost 2-1 with a throw in team!
Also massive thanks to Lebowski and Ali for all the fun heckling. Felt like this...
Good ride home too. Cheers Gabes. Was busted by Wood Green.Great day people. Love London polo.

So much fun!
Thanks for putting on such a smoothly-run tournament. Courts were great, weather was great, competition was great. Thanks to London polo (Malice, in particular) for all the heckling (and grudging support, perhaps, by the end?).
We (Toffs) had a blast and even (especially?) enjoyed losing two to Netto, who are very classy opponents.
Sorry we couldn't make the party afterward - everyone was knackered after we found food, and the bus home was too tempting.
See you next time..

Okay. Giant thank you list. Not necessarily in any kind of order:
The Bicycle Film festival, in particular Laura for all the time, money, work, love and support she gives to this event all year, and Brendt for his energy, stories and speeches (and knowing when to stop..) and mostly for creating this incredible event in the first place. So many great events happened this weekend, whatever kind(s) of bikes we ride, and the BFF brings them all together, celebrating the things we have in common as a cycling community.
Massive thanks to Andy Lockett and Nes for amazing allday refereeing, locketts amazing organisation and nes's ability to be so unbelievably loud. Also Horatio for everything you did (including that helmet..), Ali's woodwork and van repairs, Gabes (for everything, despite the state of those rapha/condor boards), Adrienne's beautiful illustration, Brendan (you know why), Braley for laminating and scoreboarding genius. Nhatt and Brixton Cycles for fixing endless wheels, punctures, headsets, brakes..Karta for the Ambulance and the BMXs, Stepper bikes, Marys Muffins, Josh for that shot, James Brown for Least Valuable Player (especially in the morning), Em for tapping out on the car (and getting Brendt to chant "BFF sucks"),Vidal for last minute ball supplies, everyone from manchester who stayed at my house and fed me beer whenever I got home sober, the Flying Spaghetti Monster for the perfect weather...
Also Rapha for everything, (polo needs that van), and especially Kaspar, who might have had even less sleep than me,and Albert from Madison for support, driving, helmets, saddles and everything else you did this weekend. Shop 14 for the best afterparty for so long. Smeear, for finding me on Bethnal Green Road at 2am to give me those beautiful hats (the musette is mine..). Matix, DV8, Brick Lane Bikes, and everyone else I forgot who gave prizes and support in any way...wait. Charlie, and everyone involved in the Ugandan alleycat movie..the list is endless..
A massive thank you to everyone else who played, watched, heckled, goalref'd, ate muffins, recovered bikes, ziptied stuff, picked up stuff, and came to the party and danced for beer.. Yesterday was played in true polo spirit, and I loved every second. Thank you all again for being part of it.
Next stop: BFF Paris...

I think you misspoke, Corey. Surely you were thinking of some other adjective -- can't see that one fitting.

Big well done to a lot of teams and players: BAD, Netto, Toffs, Polo Fiasco, the new intense JOL, and more.
DFL: Zombie and Malice.

Had a great day yesterday, reffed about 30 games back to back and didn't get tired til I got home and crashed out at about 10. Could barely speak today.
Thanks to all the players for playing such quality polo, a really high standard of play and top sportsmanship too.
The hardest game to ref was Beaudizzle v the guys on mtb's - so many foot down tap outs to keep track of I didn't know where to look.
Cosmic v Toffs was awesome, 3 seconds left then a golden goal winner. I nearly shat myself with excitement.

oh and thanks for letting me have a lovely nest in your lounge john, braley and mary...it was well cosy..thanks to all the poloists who entertained me all day yesterday and put up with me deafening them..if it makes you feel better i've been a bit hoarse all day..and generally thanks to everyone for a good time in london, which sounds like a contradiction in terms to me but somehow a mix of great people, sunshine, polo and beers made the big schmoke just about bearable, possibly even fun...(mostly the beers)
oh, and the muffins were fucking delicious....
you should all come up to the glorious north to visit soon x

JOL, I appreciate your lack of familiarity with North American meteorological phenomena; however, this is the graphical interpretation of a Tornado. A "Hurricane", or Tropical cyclone as they are officially classified, is typically distinguished by a two-dimensional spiral. See [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_cyclone[/ame] for examples.
On the less sarcastic side- thanks to Dave/Sarah/roommates for the crash pad, JOL and Biancha for teaming with a stranger from Canada, Prav for the use of the bike after the one I sorted proved to be impossible to manoeuvre, Nhatt for the help setting a brake on the aforementioned behemoth of a bike, Roxy for the help figuring out where the hell to go on Saturday, Malice for playing with a bit of contact like I'm used to, and finally London in general for being so welcoming. Hope to see you all on Halloween!

Cosmic v Toffs was awesome, 3 seconds left then a golden goal winner.
That was heartbreak polo!
But well done toffs...always a battle to play you guys! Also proves, never give up till the last second is counted!
Massive props to netto and bad for putting on a great final - had it all.
So many great games from under dogs too...cool to see some new teams forming a rep already.
Usual thanks to every involved and as always to my cosmic partners!
POLO....ROCKS!!!!
Ohh and playing street polo in the car park of the truman all pissed up was awesome. Those sort of random polo moments should break out more often.

fuk yeh.
I personally loved NETTO vs TOFFS, great game, extra fast! Was asleep during the apples game sadly. Also the last minute drama in Cosmic vs Toffs was incredible. Score within the last 3 secs to reach golden goal, then score again within 15 secs. WOW
