Surely you could just upgrade with some of those 'super strength' magnets you see on EBay. You'd need to work out a way of uncliping thougth.

These appear to be more to hold your foot in the right position than for giving you something to pull up on when climbing/sprinting. Article says you can simply "step out" of them so I'm assuming they will stop a foot slipping forward or sideways.
Don't look like much of a contender for clipless pedals/shoes though.

I read something about them yesterday. On the official release it says you can't pull up without breaking the magnetic attraction so they are pointless.
