The better number is "Active Members" on the front page... aliases tend to be used for a short while and then discarded. So the 4,700 number is better.

Why? It's hardly exciting. Surely it's the forum stat equivalent of paint drying?

We've now doubled it.
Member number 5976 joined today. Barely noticed by anyone, we're rapidly approaching 6,000 members.
Will the number of members overtake hippy's post count soon?
Will Armageddon make another pathetic attempt at scaring forum members and fall flat on its/his/her/itshisher arse?
Who will be member number 6,000?
Who will be the 6,000th member?
Growth is fast; 5,000 members was only back in November:

Chances are we'll now be able to secure even more corporate sponsorship than last time.
What has VB negotiated? Coca Cola or Pepsi? Own up, VB.
Either way, we'll be drowning in champagne, be able to buy as many bikes and bits as we want and generally live the good life. Epic times.
