• For my birthday my wife bought me tickets for the bike show ,travel ,and hotel stay now the thing is only been to London a couple of times and have no idea what area is best to stay in for easy access to Earls Court, want something decent with some nice eating places close by as well, only coming for one night so want to make the best of my time.
    cheers in advance.

  • Hows about in Earls court - its the land of cheap B and B's, and your only a couple of trainstops away from everything.

How much you lloking to spend on a room?

  • about 150 BB for the night I guess.

  • Thats not 150 Bottom Brackets by the way lol

  • I have a mate who lives next door to this hotel, and it looks ok - prob not too cheap, but in a nice part of London for restaurants, sightseing etc - only one stop on tube from earlscourt

  • Great help cheers.

  • I grew up round there so pm me if you want advise on a hotel location. Personally i would look for a hotel around Gloucester Road/South Ken - only 1 or 2 stops on tube/bus or 10 mins walk, and they are nice parts of London for when you are not at show. Be aware that Cromwell road wich has a lot of hotels, is actually the end of the M4/A4 as it enters London, so a hotel on there is likely to be noisy

  • It's all easy enough to get too mate. Tube/trains/busses galore!

    Might as well stay central.

    www.hotels.com should sort you out!

  • You can spend far less than £150 for BB in London if you know where to look. Even some hostels have private rooms at £60 ish. Or you could try crashing with a Londoner through crashpadder.com - read about them in the Telegraph last week but have not used it yet myself.

  • PM'd

You have Jurys Inn by South Ken and what is the big hotel on the Cromwell Road called? All walking distance to EC.

Does Addie's Thai cafe still have the lady boy waitresses who cruise the area on weekends?
