Fujiboy, ESB's are designed for serious abuse, and are probably way more hardcore than you need, for people like Ted and Odge who do stuff that some people would think twice about doing on a bmx let alone on a fixed.
Frames like the Volume Cutter are still really good (thats what I used to ride dontcha know!), I would say get a Cutter, and if you ever develop the balls or skills to start doing stuff big enough to break one of those..... well then you're probably good enough for 14 to chuck an ESB your way for free and sponsor you :)
Oh and Porter, my brother from another mother....
Ride the wheels until they break, then get some beefy fuckers with wider tyres, try some wider bars (you have no idea what an awesome improvement this is for tricks), maybe some stronger pedals, but steer clear of going the micro-drive bmx style drivetrain route, this is a lot of extra stress on components on a fixed, you will fuck hub bearings really quickly, destroy BB bearings quickly, and chains/chainrings will wear out in no time at all, not worth the hassle on fixed IMO.
Oh yeah and get a 24 inch bike sorted, once you do your fixed will probably get relegated back to transport duties quickly enough and the odd bit of fun here and there ;)
very true.
and that blue volume cutter v3 is pretty darn sexy
