I was tempted by these but the run time of an hour and the fact that some people seem to be waiting up to 6 weeks for delivery put me off slightly. Apart from that, they do look pretty amazing.

group buy?

Momentum has some of those deal extreme lights. We used them on our bivi trip and they were great. You can buy more batteries to extend the run time. Group them together and make a battery pack.

...and why create a new thread about lights? FFS, wasn´t this good enough?

Looks good.
My beloved Sigma mirage set, are playing up at the moment. So if I cant fix them (think its just perished wiring) I might look into these.(Smallfurrys top tip: To mount a torch style light to your bars, ideally you need a peice of rubber (or foam) with perpendicular cylindrical cut outs. These can be found under the seat part of 4 legged stools (Ie. the bit that joins the two U shapped leg pairs).)

i seem to have read this innertube mount fixup somewhere here, could be handy with one of these. though burntime seems rather low, a 4pack of 2500mAh rechargeables including a cheapo 'smart' charger are 24squids from maplins. so you'd have around 4h of high burn time. that is what my hope one does ... ish so seem practical and cheap. the hook beeing you carry the burntime in extra cells and have to change them rather then having all in a neat caseing at once and no bar mount.

No, you´re a generic tool! You´ve had almost every sinlge person here trying to make you UTFS (nicely, with sarcasm, but nicely), and still you create this retarded threads with retarded questions which can only help to create a bigger barrier in information for those that really care about what they post. Use your fucking head, no one´s even being un-polite here you f...

these are those cree lights yea? certainly look like it to me.
last time i had a look at them they were very powerful and really cheap, but the batteries were expensive and an odd size and didnt last long at all, say a ride or two.
A way around that i found was to invest in the rechargeable options, (special charger, somewhat expensive) but again i dont know how the rechargable ones perform, as in many cases the rechargeable batteries are lesser in their performance.but yea, an someone has already mentioned in a not so polite way, use the search, this has in large part been covered already i.e Cree lights.

different manufacturer. Cree were big a couple of years ago, now Seoul seems to have the lead in power consumption verses luminosity. The P4 is what is in the Exposure joystick and is nominally 240 lumen, the P7 has a claimed output of 900 lumen.
Probably best getting one with a standard battery. They did have a few that uses a aa battery holder though not necessarily a p7.
The last thing I ordered from dealextreme took about a week to arrive. -

I've got one. Flipping great. The 1 hr runtime is on full beam which is unnecessary for most uses. On the middle level you get a good couple of hours per battery - I did the overnight to Brighton (from midnight to dawn 5-ish?) on two batteries.
The flashing mode is liable to give people epileptic fits. Low level is fine for everyday use in town.
Last winter I used it, recharging once a week, for my commute - 40 mins, high beam on the canal, low for the roads.
I regularly got shouted at for being to bright, so I'm happy it's effective. I bought a $1.99 mount which i use on my helmet or toptube. It will be out for 1st winter showing at Wests tomorrow if you want a look.
Does anyone use these? Look pretty amazing:
