For the price they are pretty good. I bought a pair as a stop gap and they are working out fine. I actually like the look of the hubs and rims seem pretty good too (stickers just peel off luckily)
Seem to be built up okay too. They are on the heavy side at 2150 for the pair. The hubs are loose bearing with rubber covers/seals which introduce friction (same sort of things as Shimano XT hubs) which is noticeable when spinning in hand but not on the bike.
Again, for £70 I think they are very good value. Would struggle to build a pair of wheels for that price even with the cheapest components.

the hubs are stock langster ones. the wheels took quite a lot of abuse under my 120kg with no problms. so as said before for 70 quid they couldn't be better.

Yes, building a set from scratch worked out to be far more. Cheers for the replies - very helpful.

Is the rear axle long enough to re-space to 126mm OLD?

I don't think so but you can easily get the longer one for additional fiver and change it within minutes as long as you have a pair of cone spanners.

Another advocate of these! They are not boutique wheels, rudimentary bearings, and as mentioned not the lightest but excellent vfm. Still holding up well to the shitty roads here in Glasgow. I peeled the stickers off too. The are pretty well built, still true/round after six months.

The axle is approximately 163mm. Just measured it by eye using a tape held above it through spokes so very approximate!
Depends on width of your dropouts but another approximate measurement was around 5mm of thread showing when nut done right up.
Reason I could make these measurements is because the wheels are sat in my garage as I had to replace them. The threads stripped on the fixed side as I couldn't stop the cog from slipping back however hard I did the lockring up. Could well be user error as I maybe should have used a wider cog or spacers, although have used cog before and it was fine on other hub. So worth looking closely and using a spacer if necessary.

Many thanks for the latest replies to my question.
I was planning to use a freewheel as the above link details "flip flop"

I flipped mine to freewheel so I could ride my bike and no issues on freewheel side. PM me if you want a cheap one month old set and live near to Hampshire/South Coast!
Hi, saw these on the bay:

Looked in the forums but couldn't find anything on them. Anyone know if they're any good?
My one issue with them is that the hubs are unbranded ????
