JOL/Gurney Straps

For those of you who already have them do any of you ride in Skate shoes or shoes that don't tend to fit your foot particularly snugly? I was just wondering how they'd feel, like if your shoes have to be done up really tight to make your feet feel secure when pulling up. I'm going to try these after running clipless for a long time and really looking forward not horsing around spare fucking shoes all the time.

I ride in old Rowley XLTs that aren't done up tight. Still very secure. I slipped out for the first time on Sunday and could still stop with one foot in before the wall.
