Are you a hipster? If the answer is yes then a Jaguar stem and risers is acceptable.

Erm... certainly not, so does that rule it out completly?
I thought of the combination from a technical point of view, lower stem + higher bars was a good compromise.

Why not same stem, flat bars?

flat stem (pearl)and risers.
Any reason in particular? i guess it would save me spending £60 on a new stem!
and in anwser to landslide, i just don't really like flat bars,

This makes more sense. Why drop down and then rise up agian to achive the height you want?

If you look around you can get flat bars with a good selection of bend angles these days.

All i was thinking is: risers and pearl= too high
but risers and drop stem = just right
i know a flat bar would make alot more sense..... but so would a brake... and i dont have one :)

ha!
Hi,
Basically i have decided to switch to risers for a change from bullhorns, now i had the rb 021 which are the "drop bullhorns" as such, so i quite like the low riding position, i reckon risers on my pearl stem will be too high, and so i was wandering what people thought of using the nitto jaguar stem with some risers....
Would it just look plain stupid? do any of you have the combo?
Cheers
