as was I, briefly, to collect my daughter who'd been injured (not badly, it now turns out)
the coach invited me to drive my beaten up ford mondeo over the track onto the grass but I didn't have the nerve - shame, it would have been cool to do a couple of laps, like the ambulance did at the Good Friday meet a couple of years back
