  • I wasn't in London when this happened to my friend. But apparently this is a real issuse of recent. Yet I cycle everyday in this city and frequent many bike shops and have not seen any evidence of action. I have been in a few bike shop staff rooms and seen small posters up in reference to one of the female cyclists who lost her life. But I got to tell it as it is, if there has been action it has failed miserably. I just hope those involved have the balls to see that. Meeting up beacuse some emotion has been stirred up inside you aint going to cut it. It might make you feel a bit better about yourself but results are all that matters here.

Yeah ridiculce me I really don't give a fuck. Any action has to go way beyond current thinking and way past an internet forum, especially one as "clicke" as this one.

Fuck me TFL, you've got the social graces of a five year old.

Meeting up because some emotion has been stirred inside you ain't going to cut it

Dude, it all starts somewhere and grief and anger is as good a catalyst as any other. The starter of that thread is Ktee, the sister of Eilidh who was killed - pretty sure she's going to be emotionally driven to effect change

You also seem to have a problem with lists - as I understand it the list on that thread is a catalogue of available resources, It's kind of how this forum works, we do things for each other. I happily design bits and bobs for people in exchange for mechanical help with my bike - shit, if you got a puncture I'd more than likely rock on down to lend you my pump :^]

Will the meeting be messy - more than likely
will it take a while for any cohesive strategy to emerge - of course
will the end result make a significant difference - I truly hope so, and maybe if you put that fragile ego aside [because it really isn't all about you] you could be part of a solution

Why are people not responding to your questions on that thread? I'd hazard a guess that it's less to do with cliqueness and more to do with your horrible comments about being a lorry driver and achieving two kills . people won't respond to you if they think you are going to bring trash like that into a thread started by someone who has lost a sister

you seem to be a 'results-based' man so what did the forum based memorial ride for Eilidh achieve? about £3000 for a blood research centre - countless people that witnessed that ride and had the circumstances explained. And it has galvanised a lot of people to actually strive to acheive change

On a personal level it changed my attitude from 'well if that numpty wants to go down the side of the bus then that's ther responsibility' to now actively chatting with people I see executing that move and explaining the dangers

try to stop pissing people off because you've translated normal forum banter into a percieved personal attack and let us now what you can do and what skillset you can bring to any campaign that happens

    peace.
