Stolen bikes

It's not about server space. And true more people might see it if it's in general but sadly there are so many bikes stolen that there'd just be too many separate threads and in fact they'd end up getting less attention; I think the catch-all Stolen Bikes thread is pretty well read.
Admittedly the OP seems not to have failed to search but to have failed to use the search very well and maybe it seems tactless to call him out on it in the circumstances but, from my point of view, the UTFS argument is about making the forum *easier *to use, about encouraging people to think about where their question or observation or plea should go, not just about giving people a hard time.

UTFS is just an internetised way of telling people to go and browse for the book they want instead of going up to the till asking the staff to find a book for them on the little computer that go 'to di de too' in a bookshop.

I wasn't calling the OP out for not UTFS, I was merely pointing out the fact that they DID UTFS and did search for stolen bikes, which infact gives you a plethora of threads with that in the title, but they still came away with nothing. It really is impossible to fuck up.
