Mein deutscher ist nicht so gut.Ist das etwas besser????
"Nennen Sie mich den Teufel?" -

Mein deutscher ist nicht so gut.
Ah, this is easier to fix:
Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut.
With the other one, it was impossible to work out what you could have meant, let along translate it. <---instead of an emoticon and works in both English and German.

deutsch/deutscher - So you're implying that I fail when selecting the correct gender?
Was the second attempt any better on my initial phrase?

I thought what you meant was 'My (knowledge of the) German (language) isn't that great'?
German (the language) is just "Deutsch", e.g. "Deutsch ist eine schöne Sprache". What you wrote literally translates as 'My male German person isn't that great (although "deutscher" should have had an initial capital ("Deutscher")).
The second attempt only had the one small mistake in capitalisation in it. The first one has a really odd combination of grammatical uncertainties/errors that makes it impossible to deduce an intended meaning. So, yes, the second phrase was much better.

Cheers Oliver, that helps a great deal. I did infact mean "My German language isn't that great".
I'll get there eventually.
Not a team, but probs a place to stay. Marc, Agata, Luis Luis?
