  • Gus on Upper Street last night, i shouted but you turned round and looked frankly disgusted that someone in a suit had demanded a skid, turned round and road off.

    Ha!

  • To the unshaven bloke in cycling cap and plus fours (!) on a purple-ish SS going west on Bayswater Rd yesterday evening... don't draft people you don't know, it's not polite.

Bollocks. It's a sign of respect.

    Half-wheeling, however, is rude.

  • Hobo clutching his tri-spoke in Canary Wharf this morning... I was having a fag break, shouted "hobo", you didn't hear, the woman sitting next to me jumped out her skin*...
    ** Not literally...*

  • Bollocks. All of it.

  • Baby blue frame, REALLY BRIGHT PINK rims. Skateboard helmet. Brixton Road 9-ish this morning.

Looked like the uncle of a unipak, but suspect it was sourced for £1000.

She locks up in the same secure bike park that the Mrs uses- very very badly normally.

  • dropout, wandsworth end of upper richmond road, coming out of dry cleaners? spotted the bike first then the tall dashing mr dropout, hope you caught my wave as I was being overtaken by a large lorry at the time...

  • ^ What if he was trying to touch your bum? That would be OK, right?

He was close enough, certainly. The only people who are allowed to touch my bum are my wife, my doctor and my scoutmaster.

  • great day for spots.. think i might have passed vic at the old st roundabout lights this morning, not sure as I suddenly committed to a clear road with traffic fast approaching.. skully, picco, lynx, badtmy and of course rpm and winston at the rollers around lunchtime, then a quick scoot over to bc to get some grips and to say hi to Nhatt and hillbilliam.. what a lovely day out there, perfect riding... on the way back to work I bumped into Nikolai to top it all off because I brought my bike into the newsagents and on the way to the counter he said it was a good idea. Ha! nice to meet you man..

  • Nice to meet Emilia outside the office where they keep my hamster wheel today.
I was flummoxed (top word, eh?) by geariness until she reminded me about the lock crisis. She then said geared is faster than fixed ("Heresy, burn the witch!", they cry.)

Wish I was out riding in this weather. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Nice to meet you too mate!

  • Wow, my bike was spotted without me!

  • Marcom and friend cycling through Canonbury last night. Good to see you; enjoy the rollas in Russell Square.

Nice to see you too Clive, and thanks for the tips about rollas. I enjoyed today but i want enjoy even more next friday. Oh btw she is a friend but she is also the wife.

  • Guy on the metallic blue frame heading toward E&C on London bridge, wIth what seemed to be white B43's over his shoulder.
Also, the multicoloured spok BMW owned by Mick and Mick himself under waterloo bridge.

  • I think I just saw the same girl - spearmint frame, no decals, all purple bits, dark hair, headscarf, coming out of an office right next to mine on smithfield Street just now.

That's Poppy. Superted built her frame all custom-like...

  • Tower Hill/Tooley - blue front Aerospoke... Nice track stand, mate :-)

  • Wow, my bike was spotted without me!

and in one of the very dodgiest corners of Lincoln's Inn Fields, what's more

It was like I was shocked, shocked with a diamond bullet...

  • Flickwg by Marble Arch tube at about 4 ish?

Tomasito in full polo livery spinning through Hyde park at about 6:30 ish, I was walkengering and it didn't click that it was you til you'd just gone.

Brakless™ fixie skidder outside yellow-signed food and wine shop on Cedars road around 7:30pm.

    Spot-tastic.

  • Shut up, Jack... ;P
Did you get your wheel sorted?

  • Well one of them is up and running, so the main fixie-skidder is in action again, but looks like the polo-designated one is fucked...might see if i can get the lockring threads re cut, not a disaster if it doesn't work since it's not usable anyway, otherwise, no. BC sorted out the seized cogs no probs tho, so that's good...now if only I had a wheel to put them on....
And shut up yourself. Have you finished the infamous polo bike now?

  • All done, took it for a ride yesterday just need to make a disk and a few mallets... Got all the fixins sittin' in front of me, but no tools... ;]

  • Tower Hill/Tooley - blue front Aerospoke... Nice track stand, mate :-)

    Why thank you.

  • Wow, my bike was spotted without me!

An Orbea roadie? I wondered when I saw Emilia zooming up bishopsgate whilst barely turning the cranks, I thought she had changed to some stupidly huge gearing before realising it was a different bike

  • Shouted do a skid at you on Victoria embankment, you obliged by smiling and ringing your bell. Can't remember the bike, it was my best mates 'leaving for a year, going travelling' drinks and things were hazy.

  • saw this on flickr, forumeanger perhaps?

I leant it to her while her bike was stuck.
It's a fairly un-attractive bike, but it seems to get the job done.
