I know it aint so cool but the parts on a lemond filmore (gary fisher now??) are better than the surly for sure. The hubs on the surly are shit! The lemond comes with a decent KMC chain, and half decent FSA cranks. The new surly doesn't look as good as the old one imo.

It's a shame the surly has a worse spec this year.
Definitely lush though, as said, get a frame and fork then build from there... I went for a open pro on condor uno hubset, sugino messenger cranks, all those gubbins and mine's indestructible.

what size steamroller (and cross check )should I go for? i'm 172cm tall and around 80cm inseam.
