Hurrah! The bike is free! Though it was rather unnerving to see how quickly Texas got through the lock with his bolt cutters. I'm just going to reassure myself that he's a strapping young man, and that weedy little hoodies with similar implements would take far longer.
And yes, I'll be taking the lock back to Condor. Not sure how amenable they'll be, given that this is the second time this has happened this year, but it's worth a try.
Can anyone suggest any good alternatives? Wearing a chain lock around my waist has been such an intrinsic part of my routine for so long - it's going to be quite difficult to change. I've been carrying a D-lock in my bag today and yesterday, and it's nowhere near as graceful or convenient.
