CARLTON FLYER TRACK FRAME c1948
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm
Rear dropout width: 114mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double-butted
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 63mm
The Flyer was Carlton’s top model and this is the road track version of the track frame with D to round fork blades. This is one beautiful frame with gorgeous precisely cut lugs and is ideal for road use - angles are not shallow - I think its probably 73° parallel. Bottom bracket is Chater-Lea oversize - sleeves can be bought from the Tandem Club to reduce the thread size to standard English for less than £15. Any English threaded BB can then be fitted. Its in very sound condition with an excellent English headset probably TDC and good Chater-Lea BB. £165 SOLD

This cool Raleigh Equipe from the late 1980s is a cut above the standard offerings from Raleigh forged dropouts and close clearances. It comes complete with original white saddle and stem. Ideal for budget fixed/singlespeed conversion. bargain at £34 SOLD

BLONDIN TRACK FRAME 1940s/50s

Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Vitus Durifort
Seatpost size 26.8mm
This a French made track frame – its not drilled front or rear and dates from the 1940s or 50s. It comes complete with French threaded BB , BB axle, chainset and bars/stem which all need replating. The frame is in its original finish but much distressed... The rust is purely surface and does not affect the frame’s structure... An exceptionally rare frame with reasonably close clearances. £125 SOLD

Alan Shorter frame almost certainly from late 50s/early 60s and built from Reynolds 531. With long horizontal dropouts its ideal for budget fixed/singlespeed conversion. £65

This Bates Vegrandis frames dates from c1937. It has been repainted and there are signs of light pitting under the paint in a number of places but nothing which worry me from the structural point of view. It would have been built for 26 x 1 1/4in wheels originally but there’s plenty of space for 700/sprints. £125
