Hi, in relation to this hub:
On-One Double Fixed Hub 32h Black 135mm
Double fixed
Sealed bearing
48mm chainlineCan anyone tell me the ff please:
1 - what length spokes do I need for this (700mm wheel)
2 - best chain width? (obviously depends on the sprockets, right?)
3 - best place to purchase these parts: chain, sprockets, spokes.
4 - spacers, lockring?Thx.
1 - 700mm; the clue's in the name.
2 - I like medium, but large seems to be in fashion.
3 - Just make a post requesting everything for free/needed by tomorrow, like everyone else does.
4 - Spacers are good to make clearances tighter and get sexy lines; you should spend 10% of the cost of your bike on a decent lockring, and 2 types of lockring is often the best deterrent against theft.

135mm seems very wide for a hub designed for 700m wheels.

I found a link that calculated spoke lengths. Of course, the site didn't have a listing for the fucking hub that I'm building up.

Well most sites have an option to put the hub measurements in yourself, you could always measure the fucking hub.

D'you think (s)he's doing it on purpose? And if so, where does (s)he get the time?
Having said that, I'm finding it all pretty entertaining.

Well, I did a search for "On One" spokes and nothing came up.
Aha! If I had the time to read and study everything on spoke lengths in relation to different hubs, and then nipple lengths, E.R.D. and whatever, then I wouldn't need to post here would I...
For fucksake!
"It was supposed to be so easy!"
"It's a rigged game anyway." -

What rims are you using?

What chainring are you using?

Your local shop, or froogle for the best price?

Well, at least that's something useful from you small furry.
Given that the aforementioned hub is in the fixed gear and track section of the On One website, I kind of assumed it would be a hub for a track/fixed gear frame - silly me...
