Heres my latest, figured i'd put it up. Its a NZ made Reiker frame, Tange tubing.. Light as hell and a dream to ride. Got all the bits polished.. front rim looks white but just the angle...

Alex, that only (as far as I know) happen with Shimano SPD that are paired with incorrectly set up cleats.
fixed

Nope, it happens with any clipless pedal which you twist to disengage that has a fixed float. If the pedals have adjustable float then I could probably get away with them. I get on fine with clips and straps though, so i feel no desire to go back to clipless on my town bikes. On the road bike, clipless all the way, however. :)
they sell various float cleats for spds. In fact, most others don't have the option.
i'm just being a pain in the ass here.

You coming all the way back to ride Herne Hill dude??
hahha nah dude, 2 weeks ago the local velodrome did a press release and they are trying to get more people down to ride, bikes for hire etc, much like herne hill it seem's. Given the fact i'll be moving less than a mile from said velodrome in 7 weeks time, sure to be a weekly sesion for me for sure....

that's not a trick it's in the instructions.
Ha! really, he told me was some trick he picked up haha, cheeky fucker
Correct.
But also Time has different types of cleats.
The chamfer / tapered parts of the cleats have a different angle, so, different force and angle of disengagement -

Really?
I thought, this was for road-SPD only.
But you have different generations of offroad-SPD cleats. Officially not compatible, but it might work out as different release angle cleats. But I still doubt it.
You DO have a certain multi-release cleat. If you feel uncertain, you can unclip by pulling your ancle upwards. Release angles are the same though. -

Gonna take a look saturday or next week.
Can get this frame ste with stem, bars, crankset and clincher wheels for little $$$
It's said that it's Columbus tubing, nice round fork blades, but brand unknown. Repainted.
When I take it, I'm going to have it powdercoated or enamelled/painted and build it up as a complete track racing bikes.
It's my size (58.5 C-T, with 57cm t/t), so it's a good backup for the ALAN.
Try to make some money on reundant components (wheels, stem, cranks?) to finance the operation. -

If those are H+SON rims, your rear wheel is fucked already... I had H+'s from the 1st batch at BLB, after laced they presented some grooves...just like those. They just don't take the pressure of the spokes. I was told it was faulty but it wouldn't compromise... let's just say I didn't feel OK with the chance of what if. Change that.

Sort the bar angle out and get some double straps and that'll be half decent, your best yet.
What crank/ring you got on it? -
• #15845
waiting on double straps only have the short ones at Planetx at the moment, the crank is of my Bianchi pista so a truative, seems ok but very close to the chain stay, and the angle will be sorted when I get my track bars.

I've just bought a classic 1970's racer with all original parts.. I'm looking for some 26 x 1 1/4 inc 597 tires (with original bronze/yellow stripe) as the tires on it are quite a bit worn. Does anyone know if 26 inc wheels are still made or where I can get some old ones?

Lovely Look KC, but I can't stand those ergo stems, ruins it for me. The Look logo upside down looks like its mounted wrong! But gorgeous frame sir.

The Look logo confuses me, I would have thought (based on no proof) that more people are likely to use the stem as set up above, rather than in the folded back position, so it would make more sense to have the logo the over way up. Am I missing something obvious?
Same problem here, kept with the SPDs, stopped skidding.
