Swapping Axle in a Bottom Bracket

Would it be possible to replace the 110mm axle in this bottom bracket with a different 103mm axle. If so, does anyone know of a suitable option?

I'd say probably not. that looks like a sealed unit. You need to buy a bottom bracket with a 103mm spindle.

Yeh, that. I've emailed to ask when the 103mm will be in stock but I'm looking to get my bike up and running as soon as possible, so was looking for some other options. Don't suppose you know of any other french bottom brackets apart from vintage ones?

I'm having a few French threaded BB problems too.
I've e-mailed VO, and they haven't been very informative on when they will have 107mm axle BBs in stock.
So, could I replace the axle on my cup and cone French thread BB with a 107mm one (The cups come from the bike originally, so the axle is too long) ? Or are there strange sizes to take into account ?

Sorry if I'm not being very clear.

i had the exact same problem, luckily the bike shop had a shorter sqaure taper axle and works fine with my old french cup and cone. have a hunt around for axles on ebay
