so you cloned out the logos, desaturated the whole image, added the new saddle, lassooed around the frame in a new layer filled it then reduced opacity. Am I right?
Looks like my ladies new bike. -

as well as removing the gears at the back, and changing the brake cable colours, and the gear lever, the spokes were a nightmare to replace

Nice work. I did something similar when I was considering repainting my Mercian.
Bike as is:
Potential resprays:
Found it helped me make a decision, which was to leave it exactly as it already is.

That Bridgestone is really nice to start with, I'd keep the paint job. +1 for the mudguards.

tbf its photoshop - its not going to look like what it is in real life - but i have to agree with you the charge saddle kinda ruins it, maybe go for custom covered with faux suede - worked wonder for me so far, all i can say is make sure you either get stretchy stuff or you dont have a really deep saddle like a turbo or charge knife etc when i covered a spoon it was fine. on a turbo lots of bunching round the nose :(@the comment about fixed - the thread title reads single speed xD

...it's a great way to try out colour schemes before you actually take the plunge and go to armourtex or equivalent.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this...
Just a suggest: There's been a flurry of bikes with colour-matched mudguards on here recently and they all looked great. Maybe mock up a version with green guards too?

Those cranks look suspiciously like ofmegas?
I've been doing a little image as a birthday card of what my girlfriends bike could look like, so i thought i'd share my handy work here, it's a great way to try out colour schemes before you actually take the plunge and go to armourtex or equivalent.
You can see the before and after here
Let me know what you think.
