wmialil : Just saw a transaction for your bike happening today (5pm Approx.) as I was walking home with girlfriend. DEFINITELY your bike. I saw a short stocky individual dressed in adidas tracksuit bottoms stood with it and commented to the wife that it was probably stolen (Guessing that a guy like that wouldn't have that bike, generalising I know) As we got closer a young oriental acne-faced hipsteresque fellow came out of HACKNEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE and handed him cash. The seller then walked off towards Pitfields. The new owner was walking the bike along with another (presumably his 'old' one he'd ridden to school on) towards Old Street. If I would have been 100% certain there and then I would have grabbed it. I knew I'd seen it up on here, came straight home to check! Anyways I asked the oriental guy if he had just bought the bike and he said yes... I also asked how much he had paid and he nervously said 150 pounds. He was really shitting himself and then tried to ride off on his bike carrying the Condor on his back.
Anyway I'll send a PM with my number if you want the details, I'm more than happy to help you get it back! It's pretty safe to say the guy who now has your bike is a student at HACKNEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE and it might appear locked up there! I would recognise the kid again easily!.
PS. it is exactly the same, Hson deep section rear black on freewheel, white forks etc Only change it has some shitty black bullhorns on there now!
always wondered. say you see a bike you know is yours or belonged to a friends, are you legally allowed to walk up and grab it? anypone ever done this?
