MacIntyre did a programme many years ago in which he sought to infiltrate a Chelsea hooligan firm. Last year, about ten years after the programme he was very badly assaulted in a restaurant while he ate with his wife.
That was a totally unacceptable assault. However bad his programme was, no one deserves such treatment.
Martin may feel safe from physical assault. We herbal tea drinkers don't go in for that. Not like him. He may feel, however, that whenever he is out he faces the prospect of someone telling him what they think of him. That cannot be very pleasant.
As I said, he should apologise very quickly. Even that little shit Parris managed a begrudging apology.
