Not sure if anyone else looks at the TC-Auctions website, but they are having an auction of vintage bikes on Saturday and have just put the catalogue online. Not going to be able to make it myself, but might be good for someone after a nice bit of vintage steel.
All the estimates seem very low, I'm not sure if this is to drum up interest, or because it's quite a specialised field (I didn't go to any of their previous sales, but the estimates seem low on all the past sales).
They have a couple of nice looking vintage track bikes in this Saturday's auction:
Lot 262 Description
A circa 1957 Carlton 'Flyer' gentleman's track bicycle with 'road' front forks now fitted, 23-inch frame numbered F4294, fully chromium-plated frame retaining its original enamel, transfers and headstock badge. Fitted with tubular tyres, it possesses a 50-tooth chain wheel, Brooks 'Professional' saddle, Leotard pedals, a Campagnolo 'Record' hub with an A.V.A. rim, the front being a Normandy hub with a Mavic rim. A very light machine that performs rather well.
Estimate: £ 80 - 120
Lot 319 Description
Freddie Grubb 'Track Iron' with a 21 1/2-inch frame numbered of 8136 on the near side fork end, original enamel, riveted head badge, Airlite hubs and free-wheel fitted.
Estimate: £ 80 - 120
Can we buy this for RPM's daily commute... I'm still laughing / in awe at one of the weekend's track photos, and trying to identify which 1970s British TV character he resembled:
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
