• first time track racing for me. but not the last.....

hey that was some serious riding up at the front.

i thought i was fit but i just could not stay with it. respect to you guys. and to all those who showed up to make it such fun.

and big thanks to the organisers. of the day and evening events.

    and what lovely weather.

and a nice ride home through se london with fat joe.

    ca palne pour moi.

    see you all soon.

  • that was so much fun

as a novice parts were quite unnerving and i really need to get back down and train and learn hw to ride the track - so different to road cycling where i try to avoid anaerobic work

thanks to all for making it a great day in the sun, especially the organisers

love for the forum yada yada

also the condor hat belongs to maxcrowe

  • monkeymanshorn, great pictures. I presume they are only in b&w? Actually, the lack of glaring pink shows off the rather pleasant geometry of my Steegmans. Thank you.

i do love that electric pink. no, the pictures started out in colour, but i thought they would be better as a B&W set for some reason.

if you want a colour copy of your bike pic, pm me your e mail address

  • i have just checked out ca palne pour moi on u tube. hilarious. apparently the translation is 'it works for me'.

and the artists name ..... plastic bertrand. ftw.

  • Some images I took, not as artistic as monkeymanshorn!

  • So glad someone managed to capture Illy's homage to Cav, just one of many memorable moments.

    Great day out folks.

  • What an amazing place!! (as of course most of you already know!) I eventually got a green card from the missus and we all had a lovely time just spectating... of course now i'll defo be back with bike next time..... :) Sorry i missed/didn't spot you Maxcrow :(

Seems like i missed all the action by getting there early and leaving too early! I should have read the thread more closely:(

No worries buddy, I'm sure I'll catch you soon enough! I thought that was the case as I kept my eye out for ya.

Awesome, stunning work once again mr slain, rob and Jayson!

Derney was a real treat, totally different to riding anything else just gutted I'm not strong enough to have the jump on everyone else!

    Sorry I missed you mate

I left the results with Rob... Hope he's still got them... :S
And I almost forgot, I scored this bad boy... Win!

    Polotastic :D

I have a black Condor hat from outside the Prince Regent if anyone has missed it.

Cheers for picking it up Fiddy, I looked around everywhere... was weird riding back without a hat haha.

    that was so much fun

    ..

    Cheers J

  • Superb day out, still can't get over how perfect the weather was in comparison to how it was in the week or so leading up to the races.

Bright times was insane, I wonder how many cleat holes are in the floor of the Prince Regent upstairs from all of us dancing like complete nutters..?

Great to meet you Graham, Joe (at last), Oliver, lpg, pajamas and Nhatt (Loved your bike... I am totally building a bike with a coaster brake).

  • It was my first time racing, and it was pretty humbling realising just how unfit I am (within the first half lap of the qualifier!). A big night out probably wasn't the best preparation though...

Anyway, my aims were as follows so mission accomplished:

    1. Don't take anyone else out
    2. Don't take myself out
    3. Don't chuck up
      4. Don't finish last

Brilliant day, thanks to all those that made it happen.

  • Great pix, RPM looks positively heroic... :)

    epic pics

So glad someone managed to capture Illy's homage to Cav, just one of many memorable moments.

    Great day out folks.

    that was hilarious.

LFGSS track days just run smoother and smoother. this one was best yet. i know i keep saying that but its true!

massive thanks to Joe, Rob and Jason for making it happen and everyone who turned up to compete and spectate.

gutted i had to leave early, and missed bright times, but i'm sure there will be more.

  • Flavor Flav again. :)

  • Was the first time ive ever gone clipped in and fixed, nevermind breakless, the fact i was on a track can only helped the learning curve, although not my loosing margins. Haven't been more scared on a bike for the first few laps in years - briliant.

    Great day - Thanks to all the effort guys/gals. ;

  • Some images I took, not as artistic as monkeymanshorn

nah i really like your pics. i can never seem to get any good action shots.
is it not possible to host your pics on blogs/ download? doesnt seem to work from your flickr page. i d like to post some on our NZ forum back home

  • The Oliver Story

In the final, we boxed him in.

See! Tactics work really well! Well done on the execution!

  • I bet that picture of Justin's going over the finish line hand aloft is going up in the shop... ;)

  • I bet that picture of Justin's going over the finish line hand aloft is going up in the shop... ;)

Didn't even think of that! Now i might have to! Thanks for the idea!

  • Great action photos Kirth

  • @mankeymanshorn: your avatar is freaking me out now. I recognise it...but from where?

(no dating agency jokes here, fuckwits)

  • mr lizard?

was the cover of the Blue Jam CD

  • Hmph gutted I had to miss this for work reasons, and by the time I managed to finish up at around 10pm yesterday I was good for nothing, sounds like it was a great day and night out :)

  • Sure James, that's what they all say! Even I managed to get out onto the track yesterday and it was great. I wouldn't mind racing against you to see whether that really is muscle or fat you're holding in! ;-)

  • I LOST MY SPOKE CARD :(((((

I am helping my gf move house today and somewhere between BrickLayers Arms and Towergateway it went missing.

Will happily pay for one to be posted if there are anymore! PM me organiser folk.

  • Just a handful of pics, so they're straight onto here with no Flickr.

  • nice shots :)
