If you have enough time for a part time job its a good way of not only making money but you'll meet people outside of your uni and halls.
Also from what I remember when I was at LSBU on a wednesday night moonlighting on Greek street in Soho is uber cheap, if a bit nasty. (you'll have to get used to that)

my ideal part time job would be in a bike shop, i have been working on my bikes for a few years and love tinkering with them, but would like to learn more about how to fix them well, and more advanced stuff like facing and tapping. but i doubt anywhere would want to take on someone like that atm. but i would do anything really, as long as it fits in with studying.
