Balki does she know that she is meeting you, or have you arranged to be in the same place at the same time as her?

From Urban Dictionary:
on a promise
In British English, "on a promise" simply means that you have arranged to or at least expect to have sex with someone in the near future - usually your regular partner.
Sorry, Dave. No drinks for me tonight. The wife found the handcuffs we used on our weddin' night, so it looks like I'm on a promise, know what I mean?Seriously..good luck - I love a bit of romance

I think "on a pester" may be more appropriate.

Thanks to the Dammits for their fine hostipality. I had a great time. Good luck Gerald. get in.
Now then, I had a bit of a problem getting home. I took the exit before the Rotherhithe tunnel, hoping it would take me to Tower Bridge, but somehow, despite my doggy direction sense, and all logic, telling me I was heading in a straightish line east it spat me back out at Surrey Docks again heading West. I have no fucking idea how that happened, but I had to do half my ride home twice :-)

This is your piss poor apology for your pathetic attempt to win DFL later I presume?
BTW, I hope you meant that your directional sense was dodgy, not doggy. - lots, thanks N and F

BTW, I hope you meant that your directional sense was dodgy, not doggy.Nope, I meant doggy. normally I have the unfailing navigational instinct and internal compass of a St Bernard. However it bloody well failed me last night.
here is the utter navigational fail in question

bloody hell Quinn - that is mighty impressive - like a mini TT in there.
My ride home was fast but with empty cake tupperware digging in my back - so painful by the time I got home.
Thanks to the Dammits for their awesome hospitality, thanks for Spy vs Reen for the bratwurst and MOC for making such nice cake and a damn good duck marinade, and Tommy the master bbqer.Nice to meet some new and see some familiar faces.
Have a good day at Tarck today - I might make it down to the Regent later in the evening if I'm back from my day of culture and romance. -

Good to see everyone, I have a slight hangover myself which I am blaming on drinking Clefty's cider.
