I grew up near Bushy park, you can still get thru the pedestrian gates at the side of the main ones, but it's sketchy in there when it's dark coz it's pitch black and there are some big fucking Deer in there. They like to stand in the middle of the road after dark!
I totally would have ridden through had i checked the ped gate. riding in the pitch black with deer whist pissed would have been a nice end to the evening. having to ride to kingston, then back to HC was annoying as fuck

Well I had a nice ride home after spending the night by myself as you all went to a different pub.

Haha I do apologise for that, was great to see everyone again though!
Get a better jacket you hipster. I did not hear leanne complaining.
+1!
As good as it was it never feels right without Murts
Definite, it's really just not the same without that incoherent mumbling in the background.

Could have gone thru Hampton. Feel less like going back on yourself, which always sucks!
I've ridden thru that park a million times. Not reccomended during Rutting Season tho ;)
We don't get many northies come see us very often, apart from the lovely Stix who is representing for the lot of you... having said that we had the pleasure of Balki's company couple of weeks ago. Which was nice.
I know, hence the suprise apperance by moi.

good times at first wests last night. loved the compass ride with dov, mccarthy et al. couldnt believe how many cyclists there are on the london rush hour commute (especially the lycra gangbangers).
nice to have a chat to lots of forumungers; max (i dont have 10p to my name), mark (colnago), stix, vee (v?), raleigh conversion purple rims, james from nz immigration (cheers for the insight),
french canadia girl etc etcalso found out it takes the exact length of the first MGMT album to cycle back to Hampton Court from wests. although if would have been quicker bushy park hadnt been locked.
Good to meet you dude, sorry couldn't make the ride back, will do next time. Glad to hear you found your way without any problems... Oracular Spectacular...

p.s. what was that crazy back light that Max has? He told me the name but my memory is shite!
Fibre Flare but I've been beaten to it... sucks waking up at 4pm...

great night, had a lot of fun and even got to show off my golf swing. another highlight was the (presumably quite drunk) chick who borrowed fiddy's bike, went cycling off sitting on the top tube then came haring back down the street shouting "how do i make it stop?". comedy gold. See you fools at the track.
That girl was Vicky Pendleton, didn't you realise!? Her cadence was to die for...

Not knowing the quickest route back to Hampton etc is a drag because you just end up going via. the towns you know and essentially going round in big circles... but not getting lost...

Let's make a decision about where Wests is going to be next week.

Just to be bloody awkward- I liked The Crabtree- at least peeps went there in big numbers, and some good chats were had etc, I wasn't impressed with The Shit, oops Ship, the one and only time I went, maybe the tables there are for burning, a bummer to get at.
Whatever venue is chosen it has to be easy to get to, and a good place to go, have a bike locking up area, and reasonable prices too. I'm sure there's got to be somewhere in the Hammersmith area that will do, it needs to appeal to all to keep the momentum going, and grow it too.
The bottom line for me is I really can't get excited about going to The Ship, so I don't bother- I'm sure some will say that's no loss !! :-)))

Only problem is bike parking.
-

So you can't even park it around the back?
-

I dunno but the usual place has been outlawed.
