  • Do not put fucking yellow tyres on that frame.

    Or a yellow chain!

  • or better still sell the frame to me ;)

  • I'm dying to see how it'll end up

  • I'm dying to see how it'll end up
as a fail, sorry did i spoil the surprise?

  • race lights are good tyres, just crap for skidding...

  • This well could be the longest for sale thread ever,i think i may just let it go.

  • ^ Makes sense

  • picked up this, need to put front mech on it. going to build it as my winter geared bike...or sell it, split it.......who knows..... its a yagami. only ever seen a few of them around. anyone know anything about them?
    BIKE

    That's lovely. Fiddy dorrah?

  • anyone know if pro3 tyres can take the skidding? Got a pair for crazy cheap from the bike department of a french supermarket but convinced i'll kill them in 10mins if i ride em.
overcautious or justifiably so? they weigh nothing and feel super thin but they'll look shit on my road bike due to colour fail.
    shred or sell?

EDIT: yes this should be in the tyre thread but they were mentioned a couple of posts up the page and it reminded me about em....

  • DO NOT SKID ON THEM,

they ware out notoriously fast, if your gonna use em put them on the front one after the other

  • dave hills really liked them he's brain flick on here, said they were great, i am still weary though

  • all i know is all my colleagues who are massive roadies say they wear out really fast, but are very quick tyres.

  • coolio.
thats what i thought. will save them for if i ever build a pair of light wheels to go on my tourer. or a road bike that they'd suit.

  • thanks CG, looking forward to giving it a ride......

  • seriously KC you need to spend some more time soaking up the knowledge from the forum.

    *
    Knowledge?* What knowledge?

How can you pass off this image-over-substance, this magpie-like obsession with 'this crankset over that' or 'these handlebars over those' as knowledge?

All this forum offers is a load of predominantly worthless opinion.

And this incessant bullying of a fellow forum member is rather pathetic. Pick on someone your own size! In your case, seb, I suggest you go and shout at some trees or something.

It's not like he's building bikes that are unsafe, he's not stealing bicycles, he's not damaging bicycles, he's just assembling them and then taking them apart again, it seems.

The abuse stems entirely from an objection with the way you personally want them to look. And frankly it looks to me like most of the abuse is a case of band-wagon jumping. Most of you have probably created worse concoctions.

  • This well could be the longest for sale thread ever,i think i may just let it go.

Basically, unless you put together the perfect build, anything you do with that frame is going to be ripped to shreds.

Personally, I'd see that as a challenge.

  • If i were you I'd stop bothering with this thread.

I feel that they're argument is often very wooden and most of the time they just bark.

The langster is a piece of beauty.

But alex to be fair i think you would be annoyed if someone put some carbon cranks on your level, it just ain't right.

  • Built up the Dave Yates tonight. Mavic open Pro on the front.
Dodici Rim on the back. Miche Primato Cranks.
Immaculate paint work in PLUM NOT BLACK. Maybe an inch to big for me but it's a beauty to ride none the less.
Sadly a shit picture. Couldn't get square on and i left the lights attached duh!

  • how big is it?

  • 58...very maybe a 59. I can't stand snugly over the top tube.

  • I could probably get the seat an inch higher which will improve the look me thinks.

  • blimey that's the highest seat post you can get? can you measure the top tube length? after all that's the most important part than seat tube.

  • I meant an inch more without becoming too high for comfort and good taste. I cut about 7 inches off that bastard and theres still a mile left on it. I shall measure the TT at some point Ed.
