  • I have some spare golf clubs in the office, I also have access to all the sticky backed foam and correx you could need! so 1pm this Sunday? if its Sunday i'll bring some snacks

  • It finally happened, good sftuff! I'll pop down for a look next week.

  • a couple of us are going down for a knock around at about 4.30 today if peeps wanna come down, I am just trying to improve my bike control.

  • Roll on sunday! ill keep an eye out for cones, the little ones seem to work out the best, could stash them in the park somewhere, or drill a whole through them and put a chain in, lock them to the fence

  • if weather behaves sunday I will bring BBQ, so can I use a golf club instead of a mallet?

Edit, will i have to grind the club flat so it doesnt chip the ball? and pop a wrist strap on

  • you cant use the actual club, you need to cut the end off and put on some gas piping. should be enough players on sunday with mallets for you to be able to borrow one though?
we briefly tried to play with a golf club when bored, really doesnt work, cant tell what is shooting and whats shuffling, too heavy etc etc

  • Ahh I thought it sounded a bit dodgy making one now...

  • whatya mean? they pretty easy to do if you got a drill. their is a wicked website that tells oyu how but i can't remeber it at all, but the polo threads will ahve loadsa info

  • nah I meant using a golf club instead of a mallet- making one is no problem, just looking for the right pipe, something that wont shatter too easy...

    edit
Could only find 5mm thick 1" diameter tubing and a 1 wood golf club shaft looks a bit tiny but clatters a tennis ball across the workshop

  • i have pipe for people, loads of it, will bring it down when i'm there next, however i don't know when this shall be

  • i'll hopefully be making three over the next week.wish i could make sunday but i'm working from 12 till 6.i'll give toby or nic a ring to see if your still there after

  • My chain ring is looking pretty similar to a taco at the moment so I might not be around next week :( I'll keep a look out for those sprockets on Saturday though and post them if I don't make it on Wednesday.

  • by the way cheap polo sized sprockets at baker street cycles, 3/32 but will work fine for polo.
