Okay, I've woken up (working night shifts you know).
Bendix, so I am a Cunt, fine. But if the women on here post less and less, instead of more and more, then isn't something wrong somewhere? Clefty's 50ft Women ride was something that really made me smile, because it showed that the extreme imbalance I'd perceived on this site, was actually my imagination.
However, Bendix, you can outboy the boys. Meaning, that in terms of cycling speed (I am positive from what I've heard, you are many times my superior), and certainly your character doesn't seem at all dainty. But my posts were not about women that can outboy the boys, it was about the general lack of visibility of women on this site. Without speaking to many women on here, all I could guess, is that either women don't like communicating online (which makes Facebook, Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and other more generalised forums look really strange), OR there might be a problem here.
Fred says that he sees a problem here, VB agreess that he has seen some of it as well, but in terms of fairness, his hands are tied. You have put me in my place, as has LadyStardust. I don't mind that. But if there is a problem, then it will get worse. Okay, maybe I shouldn't voice an opinion. But I'm still glad I did.
As for the Ditto thread, I am sorry that it offended you. My comment there was simple - that we are prejudiced in general, but maybe we shouldn't be as much. I knew that Ditto would be very unattractive to many, and in truth, I had no idea that thread would run more than 5 pages, but people had things to say. There was a little (surprising) support for the bigger woman, and the fact that someone was going to make a stand of some kind against size-ism (didn't I make that a sham by saying that skinny wasn't nice to me.....on a trendy cycling forum). In general, I think nearly everyone got it. Yes, there are some people out there that will fancy others that in the main, most people (on this type of forum) would not. That was eventually accepted. It was not necessarily agreed with.
Good comments on health from Dammit and CrazyJames (though he may have shown more baggage than he wanted to), I've also learned from ChugIt. I thought it was important to do, and even though you, and quite a few others disagree with me, I do feel that it is good to highlight the positivity of differences sometimes.
Winston, you don't like me do you? Every opportunity you get, you never fail to make a snide remark, or try to push a negative aganda. The is where I respect Pistanator - he said flat out, that he doesn't like me. Bendix has done the same pretty much in this thread. Winston, grow some. Thats all I can tell you. Trust me, from the time I have been on this forum, have had to accept dislike from BMMF and Dogsballs, and for a while, from fred. I can take it mate. Stop farting about and say what you mean. Skirts are meant for ladies, so let's see your codpiece. Or, pipe down.
If I am wrong, and everything is fine here, then that's just grand. I was never speaking up for women, because they can't......it was only because the voices of women are getting less here, and that concerns me, alot. Even Clefty (who I think everybody likes [maybe even alot]), has just stated that her posts on here are now less.
As for the hypocrisy highlighted by Scott (I can't like him less for being honest) and Bendix, regarding a thread about (what many thought was) fat women and sex, and my posts here, which champion decency..... Yes, its hard to say that I do not appear schizophrenic, at the very least. But my intentions are good....on both counts ("reprezentin' for the bigger ladies [thanks Greasy for actually realising], and that I feel the tone here is just getting too severe).
I don't give up easily. Some may have noticed that about me. But when I used the term "fight" earlier, it meant "internet argument". I'm NOT a fighter. Only ever for my children, or loved ones. Principles, I will stand strong for, but fight.......no. It was the wrong word to use. I'm not a hardman, unless somebody needs me. I think we are all the same that way.
