  • i was in nyc last week and went up to see ezra, he took me round his workshop and we talked bikes for about 3 hours, then a friend of his came to pick up a ss bike he had just finished..... to cut a long story short i took the bike out for a shortish spin, white industries drive train and hubs....... amazing i did not realise the difference, being use to shimano....... does anyone here ride white ? unfortunately i am going to have to sell all my bike to get a fast boy

  • Can you tell him to send my bloody repaired fender back, he's had it for about a year now!
on another note, good to hear he's in good health - he had a pretty rough year last year.

  • BDW has WI freewheel. Great but noisy fuckers. :)

it was noisy' but had a quality sound, like a sig-sauer being cocked as opposed to an ak47 .

email him, he's pretty responsive. it was strange to see him with hair, he's on his way up and out of his personal nightmare...... cool guy.

Have the ENO crank. I can confirm that it's the bomb (technical term for it being very good)!!

    Yes, I'm sure.

Quality bits don't equate to raw speed, that comes from your legs.

  • Glad to hear Ezra's on the mend, I visited him at that great place he has in Harlem a coupla years ago... Lovely fella... :]

  • makes sweet bikes

yeh, think he's ignoring me - email him about once a month at the moment.

  • percy-vere !

  • use to live in nyc, way back in the early eighties. harlem really has changed ! really nice vibe up there. his location is really cool.

  • percy-vere !

Was on the point of writing it off to be honest, however..

Just received a very apologetic mail, saying he'll do it today!

    I live in hope!

  • I use a white industries freewheel on the polo bike. Absolutely stunning piece of kit.

  • My flatmate's WI freewheel wore out in 18 months, the teeth were well fucked... He replaced the teeth and seals, probably cost about as much as getting a new one... :S
They are noisy, but it's a lovely loud click...

  • Anyone tried the double freewheel? Considering 17t/19t for a future project.

  • it's meant for a double chainring set-up front, other wise it will through your chainline out 10mm

  • Thanks. [/retard]

    They're all just gorgeous.

  • Strange. I've just checked on him this morning via Flickr. I didn't have idea so many people is interested in his bikes and follows his recovery.

  • They are. I especially love the black, disc braked 'cross bike with moustache bars. That's my kinda bike.

  • still haven't got my fender back btw :-)

  • claire how long did you have to wait for the fenders when you ordered them initially ?
