Jol, looks pretty spanking that, was that spray water onto vinyl stickers to help slide into place and then smooth bubbles etc, rather than meaning water based transfers?
As for lug lining, I did mine yesterday with some model paint/laquer I got from a graphics shop and a 000 paintbrush, went on nice so there was no need for going over the line twice to get solid colour. Steady hand required for sure, and it brought back a few airfix model esque memories but the brush tip is finer than I think you'd get with a pen.
