well i didn't get my first choice which was modern almost brand new aparments with ensuite etc etc, but i got my second choice which is a more traditional style building (and has meant that i've saved a grand on rent), about 400 people, not ensuite, but the rooms look pretty nice from what i can see on the internet, self catered, got things like table tennis, pool, music room, and essentially, a bike lock up place, which i am hoping is actually locked up otherwise the bike will be kept in my room.
what about yours?
That sounds awwwight! As I'm actually not too far from home, i went for the top halls (ensuite modern rubbish) as i plan to only stay away from home for the first year, then just commute in my 2nd and 3rd. Halls are next to the sports village which has a really nice gym and pool. A £38m nightclub is just opening on the other campus, so i think I'll be set entertainment wise :) The bike locking facilities on site are vast, lots of upside down U type ones... But next to the halls they are all shit unlocked ones, which only let you drive the front wheel into to them. Bike in the room it is.
Don buy things like
super-exotic hummus dip (student LOVE hummus)
Hummus is so easy to make! Just need a blender, chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and cumin. AND PITA BREADDS.
