Raleigh managed to source a load of titanium tubes from the former Soviet Union in the mid nineties (I think!), same time that titanium ice-axes suddenly got a lot cheaper.
Friend of mine had a Grisley MTB which he sold to buy a Dyna-Tech having had a go on one at an MTB race.
From memory they were lugged with the Ti tubes bonded in, although this is all a little hazy.
Anyway- they made pretty light frames which handled nicely and had that Titanium spring to them as far as I recall.
On a seperate note I've bought from Allister and he knows his stuff.
