Hah! He can retire now :)
Very happy he's finally bagged it. -

That is good news.
The 14 year old in me wishes he'd done it on that rigid Kona though (I know how impossible that would be).

Isn't just going downhill, well, sort of cheating?
-
• #19
No because unlike most riders SP rides fixed and brakless.
Dont let it fool you riding DH is hard, its like the 100m sprint compaired to marathon - you need explosive power, balance, co-ordination and a healthy disregard of physics.

Watching the runs is very impressive, landing off a drop and straight into a corner, I could never get that, I like to beable to chill after a drop.

I had heard there was going to be an appeal on the grounds that his massive iron balls added an unfair weight advantage.
-
• #22
I deliberatly didnt mention balls... then you read my mind.. damn you quinn

If you can ignore Rob Warner's commentary, this to me is bike handling...
YouTube - Sam Hill Downhill World Cup 2008
Fantastic news about Peat though - Canberra's not the most popular course, but it's been a long time coming. Well done to the Eddy Merckx of DH...!
