+1 to pretty much everything Scott has said in this thread....great idea in theory (the jersey's that is) but so far any substance has been SERIOUSLY lacking in terms of design....except Donut's entry the rest has been gash.

I have zero design skills. So heres a top that someone else made that I like.
Its from the Twin Six 'fat cyclist' range, and is made from lovely merino wool. I like the old-skool racing style of the strips to one side.

Just my opinion, but merino tops with a centre strip can look a bit like a rugby top :(

Typical results from a design by committe - you end up with a cocktail of crap

choose one of the designers on here whose work you like and respect, let he/she do their thing and put up 3 options - vote on your favourite options and none of this 'oooh can we have a bit of this from that etc'

and for the love of any god at least get a designer to sort out the typography on the 'winning' concept

I particularly like the 'champagne' font that rocker chose, it will translate really well to a delicate printing process on to fabric. And also the way his designs are reminiscent of HACKETT polo shirts from about 1998.

And pink. We need more design with pink on please, there's just not enough.

At this point I reckon we go the other way. Create an editable library of logos and graphics and let people create their own. Make all the designs open source so that people can have matching jerseys if they so wish and have an open donation to the forum for people wearing an lfgss named top.

How about designs for shorts. I'm thinking something in black lycra with a big pink strip up the front and big brown one on the back.

and how are you going to get those jerseys made? The most prohibitive part of getting any jersey made is getting the artwork/films etc set up
