^ I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing with some tubs I've got.
Saw that harriscylery / narrow Sun rims. Really tempted as all the 27"s seem to be 27 1 1/4 which looks so wide to me.
Also (sorry to hi-jack) but can you use 1 1/8 tyres on 1 1/4 rims? - like the way there's leway on 700s?
