@ ^link, does anybody know what Alesa rims are like? after a bit of searching it seems like they were made by or connected to Weinmann somehow? If they're any good/reasonable it doesn't seem like a bad option although expensive compared with the 700c alternative. . .
My buy it new options seem to be something like this or buying some rims such as the Sun M13 or CR18 from the states but shipping makes that a bit costly.
Dooks, a very nice offer, if i can't get something to work with the hubs I have i'll give you a shout and take it off your hands. . .
Ftony, also a nice offer, if you get chance could you let me know make and confirm hole count? spokes, hubs being a bit knackered doesn't matter as I am only in need of rims, as long as they themselves are in good nick.
