I also have one of these bad boys (1000/80) up for grabs. It is not in the packaging, but is only about a month old. A few scuffs from being used, but it hasn't been used that much. Have all the keys.
40 ONO.
PM me, pick up E1, or polo.

I have just bought a 1000/100 but is to big for me anyone want to swap for a 80cm?
-
• #8
Too big for your waist, or just daily locking needs? 'cause you'd need to be pretty svelte for the 80 to fit.
-
• #9
are these any good?
-
• #10
Being a cable lock I would assume no but I don't know anyone who's had one chopped.
They look comfy to wear and easy to use as a daily lock too.

exactly what i was thinking, sick of my krypto chain

My old hybrid that was locked up with one of those got stolen, now you know someone who had one chopped.

Ha!

I have a similar chain and it is a pain in the arse. I want some of those strong-as-fuck fahgettaboudit mini d locks. Only problem is locking to wider objects like streetlamps.
-
• #15
The spacing of the D-lock isn't that much of a problem really, it just mean you'll have to look around a bit more for a suitable place to lock it.
-

I like this lock.
Its boss. -

I left my polo bike with this on overnight, and some bastards had tried to pop the lock by twisting the bike round... twice! (it looed like a tie-wrap).
Resulted in a mangled front rack, brakes, dented rim, and dented forks are now minus their brake-bosses.
Still got the bike!
Had it been a road frame I'm certain it would be bent to shit. The lock survived a lot of force but the armour has chinked at 2 places and is now far less protective..
I still use it.

I'm still skeptical about it, all that left was white powder on the floor where my old bike once stood, and;

what is the powder?

Doesn't look like my steel-o-flex.
I'm not doubting that yours wasn't stolen mind.
But they are significantly tougher then other cables, and with only things like the NY being stronger, its not that weak, and besides, is fucking easy to carry. And locks round big things or multiple bikes. I really feel I should get a Faghedaboutit or however its spelt, but the thing is so damned heavy I think I'd rather get insurance and keep the lovely steel-o-flex. -
• #21
ollie - if you end up selling your 100cm let me know.
+1 steeloflex love.
-
• #22
mine was chopped as well about 2 years ago, about a week before xmas... bastards

can i ask.....what is that?

Steff had one cut very rapidly and will not use one again as his main lock.
I used to have two, never lost a bike despite someone trying to saw through one of them.
I now use a Krypt New York chain (when I can be bothered to carry the enormous weight) and a mini-d.

Abus Steel O Flex 1000/80 recently purchased on eBay.
It's the 80mm (31.5 inches) version and is too snug for my waist.
Hopefully it can be of use to someone here.
BNIB with 2 keys and code card.
