Koch, who pioneered the extreme brewing movement, began experimenting with extreme brewing over 11 years ago and since then has held the record for the strongest beers in the world, first with;

Samuel Adams(R) Triple Bock (17.5 percent),
Samuel Adams(R) Millennium Ale (21 percent),
Samuel Adams Utopias MMII(R) (24 percent)
Samuel Adams Utopias(R) (25 percent). This batch is a culmination of all of these extreme beers from over the years.
