I love 00:36-00:41.
OK so I was overtaken by a jogger and a couple of kids on bikes. I can live with it ;o)

that was the key moment in the footage, jogger and mtb taking the sprints by storm

Good video claus.
But my jersey really was older than he was.
Tao, I just hope you take it easy on me in a few years time:-)
Haha Will Do :)
And check out a still of ma3k in the video

I think that needs to be made into an animated gif. Something involving lasers coming out of the eyes perhaps.

hahahaha
soudns good -

awesome that you shot this entirely on a camera phone and a flashlight!
thanks, it was actually shot with a flip which is a camera phone without the phone part. i was surprised myself to see how well it handles very difficult light conditions with just a little help from my hope. that's as far as the product placement goes for this one.

Normally I wouldn't have time to mess around with animated gifs, but luckily I'm less than a week away from a really important exam so I'm willing to do anything that isn't revision.
My attempt at the Ma3k animation:

I don't understand that gif, can I just have green laser-beams please?
Cake and I were being clever and cadging some unused rain-free space under the lee of the two lady's umbrellas who's name I cannot remember.
Clever us, we didn't have to ride half a KM and hide under a bridge. The look in my eyes is the external manifestation of the hope against and the fear of being struck by lightning.

And there was me thinking you were just envious of the 4 of us the other side of the path crowded under AgentQuinn's very small umbrella and getting soaked!

Alright chaps.
Was good to meet you all on Friday night.
Nice video too, sums up the evening nicely.
Looking forward to seeing Freddies pictures.
Are the qualifying times and a final standings going to get posted up?
Cheers and see you in the future.

Thanks Gustav for organising it, props...and sort of ''forcing'' me to do it ;)
Had a great time.
@claus : top quality video & fast delivery. A phone which is not a phone but a camera, I want it.
Is it this one? http://www.theflip.com/
In which format/ resolution record the clips? -
• #168
diapo, that's the one. as you see they come in two different sizes with either normal or HD resolution. went for the smaller size which gives me 60 min of HD recording time.

Thanks everyone who made it down to participate, cheer and heckle...definitely interested in running it again hopefully with audio of a more palatable variety than my screams of "allez allez allez..."
Thanks to Fred and Claus for the more permanent record of the event (memory is less than clear after the halfway point) - seeing it afterwards makes the effort put in seem really worthwhile
